Instrument repair and restoration
Free inspection
Having your instrument inspected by a luthier is a free service that often helps prevent more extensive and costly interventions.
Assembly and adjustment
The assembly of your instrument is essential for it to give its best. If you think your instrument needs adjustment, our luthiers are here to listen to you and will know how to optimize its sound and comfort, in short, your performance.
Maintenance, repair and restoration
Many of the instruments and bows that musicians work with have significant cultural value and deserve to be protected and preserved. However, these working tools are subject to daily wear and tear and accidental damage. Repairs or restorations carried out by unskilled or negligent workers could worsen their condition.
At Wilder & Davis, we treat your instrument or bow with the care it deserves , our mission being to preserve its physical integrity and aesthetic appearance for the enjoyment of future generations. When we consider an intervention, each situation is different: the approach chosen depends on the age, condition and value of your instrument or bow and we adapt the functional, historical and aesthetic aspects of it to your needs. As a general rule, however, know that the less intervention, the better.
