Bow repair and rehairing

Can't make it to one of our 3 workshops? Wilder & Davis offers a bow repair and rehairing service across Canada.

Necessary material

Prepare the shipment:

  1. Print and complete our remote re-drilling form.
  2. Send the form to orders@wilderdavis.com (keep the paper copy and put it in the box intended for sending)
  3. Make sure you have all the accessories needed to make the package.
  4. Packing the Bow - See instructions below.
  5. You can then go to the offices of the company of your choice (Ups, Fedex) to make the shipment. You will find our contact details on our website. Please fill in our email address and send us the tracking number.
  • 1 PVC tube (dimension: 2'' or 50mm in diameter, 34'' or 86cm in length)
  • 4 rubber bands
  • 1 foam insulation tube
  • 1 roll of paper (can be replaced with bubble wrap)
  • 1 triangular or rectangular cardboard box
  • duct tape

Packing the bow

  1. Slide the bow into the insulating tube
  2. Insert a balled-up sheet of paper into each end
  3. Wrap the rubber bands around the edges and in the center (the bow should not move!)
  4. Insert the assembly into the PVC tube
  5. Add a sheet of paper then close the tube with the caps
  6. Ensure that the caps are in place by securing them with adhesive tape.
  7. Complete and insert the remote re-drilling form into the cardboard box
  8. Wrap the tube in paper
  9. Insert everything into the box intended for shipping.
  10. Fill empty spaces with paper to stabilize the tube
  11. You can close it! Secure the closure with tape.

We advise you to send your bow only from Monday to Thursday and to select express delivery, in order to avoid warehouse transit time as much as possible.
