The violin set for beginners includes: Tailpiece ( Wittner brand), bridge ( Despiau brand), strings ( Pirastro brand) or equivalent, case (black on the outside) and a fibreglass bow ( Holtz brand or equivalent).
By buying or renting a set, you don't have to buy anything extra to play, except your stand or shoulder pad. We suggest you take the Everest shoulder pad, or follow your teacher's advice in making this choice. Some beginner programs may suggest a simple sponge.
All adjustments to the instrument are made by our craftsmen. Our instruments are made of maple, spruce and ebony.
We take back the kit at 70% - $100 reconditioning fee. Conditions: - The instrument must be in good condition - You must purchase an instrument of equal or greater value.
For a period of two years from the date of purchase, Wilder & Davis will repair the instrument if it is found to have a structural defect or if a defect appears. Structural defects include abnormal changes in neck tilt and angle, sagging or warping of the table, and warping of the ribs.
