The condition report must be renewed regularly, but once established, a simple update of the file, following a new examination, a change in condition or an intervention is sufficient. In principle, a condition report should only be provided by qualified persons or companies such as Wilder & Davis that have no financial interest in the item in question.
Once produced, a condition report is part of the official documentation that accompanies an instrument or bow.
